Bullet Express, one of the UK’s fastest-growing supply chain logistics, distribution and storage businesses, has been awarded Scottish European Haulier of the Year Award at the Transport News Awards on Thursday 30th November.
The Transport News Scottish Rewards Breakfast presentation celebrated its 29th anniversary in the banqueting suite of Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza hotel. The awards are available to all road haulage operators, commercial vehicle drivers and to companies providing services to the transport industry in Scotland.
Collecting the award on behalf of Bullet Express, Martin Craghill, Commercial Director, said: “We are proud to have been awarded Scottish European Haulier of the Year at the Transport News Awards. It is testament to the leadership and workforce across the UK and we look forward to our continued growth and expansion in the year ahead.”
Established in 1990, Bullet Express has more than 800 regular customers; over 145 trucks and trailers on the country’s roads; and four bespoke storage sites with capacity for up to 40,000 pallets. It is a full-service logistics business with over 150 employees providing UK and European road freight service logistics, sea freight, customs and storage solutions for customers.
In Autumn this year, Bullet Express was acquired in a private equity backed management buyout (MBO) led by the company’s Managing Director, John McKail. The multi-million-pound MBO is backed by equity partners, Panoramic Growth Equity, a leading equity and debt investor in UK-based small and medium sized companies, and Maven Capital Partners, one of the UK’s most active investors in growing businesses.
