The Michelin Clio Cup Series reaches the halfway point of the season this weekend with Brands Hatch looking to provide the perfect backdrop to the latest exhilarating chapter of fascinating 2016campaign.
Returning to the track after little under a month off from their last event at Rockingham, the one-make formula had produced a multitude of thrills and rounds eight and nine will be no different.
Feeling that he has finally “Clicked” with his Generation 3 Clio Race Car, Luke Pinder makes the long journey South to Brand Hatch confident that he will continue his run of improved performance as displayed at Rockingham. In Round 7 The JADE DEVELOPMENTS backed driver led for 10 of the 12 laps before back markers intervened and is hoping for better luck in Kent.
Pinder said ” Because of problems with the car we have been on the back foot so far. All that changed at Rockingham and we are looking forward to being very competitive for the remainder of the season. We are now back on plan and will be pushing hard”.
Pinder is currently in joint 3rd position in the championship and is hoping that his improved performance will allow him to close the gap to the championship leaders
Brands Hatch will also see Pinder’s car display “TRANSPORT MONTHLY” logos for the first time and this is the beginning of an exiting relationship. The well-respected trade magazine with a readership of 115,000 has partnered Yorkshire based Pinder and will feature pre and post-race reports for all of the remaining rounds in 2016. Also watch this space for news of an exciting competition.
At Brands Hatch we will also be running our own photo completion. Anyone can send a copy of a photo taken at Brands to firstname.lastname@example.org or post it on the Luke Pinder Racing page on facebook. The winner will be invited to attend a test session at Croft prior to rounds 10 and 11 on 23rd / 24th July.
