With less than 10 days until the next round of the Michelin Clio Cup Series, Luke Pinder is heading to Croft this coming Friday to familiarise himself with his Milltek Sport / Jade Developments /Transport Monthly supported Generation 3 Clio cup car at the North Yorkshire circuit.

” We came to Croft last year leading the road series championship after winning the first 5 rounds, but things did not work out as planned. On the first lap I was caught up in my team mates accident which took both of us off and into retirement. Not only that but the damage was so severe that I also had to miss the second race of the weekend.
So you could say Croft is very much unfinished business”.

Pinder added, ” Again this is a new circuit in this car, so it important to spend some time in the car at the circuit. On Friday we will be just looking to get a base setting and get plenty of laps in. We will dial the car in more comprehensively on the day before the meeting”.

Croft near Darlington is Pinders’ favourite circuit because of its high speed nature. he won there in 2014 in the road series car and qualified on pole in 2015, although because of the accident last year it is also means he only has limited experience of the circuit.

” I am under no illusions about how tough it will be to get the result I want, but the aim is to up my performance at Croft and kick start the rest of the year”.
