The eDaily reaps new awards and enriches its trophy cabinet with the European Transport Award for Sustainability 2024 in the vans and delivery vans category in Germany and the Best Sustainable Commercial Vehicle title won at the Motor Axel Springer Awards 2023 in Spain. These accolades add to the successful track record of IVECO’s locally emission-free range, which has already been recognised as the ‘One to Watch’ in the 2023 ‘What Van?’ Awards, ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Large E Van’ category of the ‘Business Vans’ Awards, and crowned ‘Commercial Vehicle of the Year’ of the Neomotor Awards in 2023.
The independent jury panel of the European Transport Award for Sustainability, comprised of well-known representatives of the business and science sectors, associations and the media, selected the eDaily as the winner of the award because: “With the eDaily, IVECO is once again demonstrating its expertise in the Light Commercial Vehicle sector, as the ‘electric twin’ of the Daily closes all the gaps in the market for battery-electric and locally emission-free light commercial vehicles. With its variety of models, whether as a panel van or chassis with single or double cab, with an enormous variety of superstructures, a towing capacity of 3.5 tons and economical operation compared to diesel, it sets new standards”.
The European Transport Award for Sustainability, now in its seventh edition, aims to encourage companies in the commercial vehicle industry to embrace sustainability and environmentally friendly product development, showing that sustainable and responsible operation not only contributes to addressing social and environmental issues, but also enables companies to increase their profitability and competitiveness by offering environmentally friendly commercial vehicles.
The eDaily was also selected as the Best Sustainable Commercial Vehicle in the first edition of the Motor Axel Springer Awards in this category by thousands of readers of Axel Springer’s online media and motoring magazines published in Spain. This title confirms the range as the perfect solution for operators looking to embrace electromobility and transition their fleet to this sustainable propulsion.
The eDaily, which has recently been upgraded to raise its performance even further, extends the range of applications for electric light commercial vehicles, significantly contributing to the decarbonisation of transport and air pollution reduction in urban areas. It stands out for its pioneering modular battery technology, which gives it a range of up to 400 km in urban real-world usage. A fourth battery can be configured on the 72C with 7.2-ton GVW and 4100mm chassis cab models. With 115 kW fast charging, three- and four-battery versions can reach a 100km range in as little as 20 minutes.
IVECO’s electric light vehicle features the robust chassis that is the hallmark of the Daily range, with no parts protruding from the upper frame. Together with the digital and analogic interfaces (such as the CAN BUS 2.0B) it makes the eDaily the most versatile and complete EV base for conversions. Thanks to its new range of ePTOs with up to 50 kW, the vehicle offers a perfect zero-emission solution for every mission.
The AIR-PRO pneumatic suspension is another winning feature of the eDaily. This unique continuous damping suspension provides a smooth ride while also reducing body roll. In addition, its memory function can adjust the vehicle chassis height for unloading and save it for repeat deliveries.
The 100% connected eDaily enables customers to maximise the vehicle’s uptime and business productivity. It features the newly introduced dynamic digital driver display and impressive multimedia screen, and offers Smart Routing features via the infotainment system or the eDaily Routing app. It uses Artificial Intelligence to provide the driver with data on predicted range and advice on intermediate charging, allowing the driver to focus entirely on their mission. eRemote controls enable drivers and fleet managers to remotely manage the vehicle’s settings via the Easy Daily app or the IVECO ON portal. The fleet manager can remotely check the status of vehicle functions such as Hi-Matic settings and Eco Mode, as well as controlling ADAS settings to ensure the vehicle’s active and passive safety.
