Aztek Logistics Ltd have recently been awarded organic certification by the Organic Food Federation which enables the storage, warehousing and transport of organic products, while maintaining the organic status.

The Organic Food Federation has been overseeing organic standards since 1986 and is one of the UK’s leading certification bodies, responsible for maintaining high standards and best practice within the sector. Official organic status requires produce to be traceable from the farm to the fork which means every stage of the journey is inspected and certified, including storage, warehousing and transport, to ensure the integrity of any product marketed as organic.

Aztek Logistics has successfully met all of the requirements set out by the Organic Food Federation inspectors during the in-depth audit, resulting in organic certification as a processor.

Duncan Pannell, Operations Manager for Aztek Logistics comments, “The Organic Food Federation has awarded Aztek with a fantastic new accreditation. The demand for organic food and produce has grown significantly, and we felt it was important that we were fully supporting our customers by maintaining the established standards at every point of the supply chain.”
