Apollo Tyres has extended its portfolio of regional transport tyres with the launch of two new products for heavy-duty trucks and trailer units. The EnduRace RD HD drive tyre and the EnduRace RT HD+ trailer tyre have both been designed to deliver superior durability to support extended mileages, as well as offer high levels of grip and traction for the most demanding long-distance applications, year-round.

Both products exceed the European regulatory standard for durability – by 150% for the EnduRace RD HD and 170% for the EnduRace RT HD+. Their robust structure aids their retreading potential, helping to reduce whole-life cost.

The new tyres will be shown for the first time at IAA in Hannover, Germany, from 16 to 22 September.

The EnduRace RD HD is a long-life drive tyre with impressive standards of all-season traction, developed specifically for regional and distribution transport. It is available from October for 22.5-inch rims in three sizes – 295/80, 315/70, and 315/80.

The tyre is B-rated for wet performance, helped by an ‘open-block’ tread pattern that displaces water very efficiently, while the footprint has been optimised to distribute pressure evenly, maintaining traction even in challenging low-grip conditions. The tyre is also certified for year-round use via the ‘Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake’ mark embossed on the sidewall.

The EnduRace RD HD is a long-life tyre, with a slow-wearing compound and reinforced casing to extend the ownership period and facilitate retreading. Coupled with a B-rating for road noise, the drive tyre is perfectly suited for the diverse requirements of European haulage.

The EnduRace RT HD+, available in size 385/65 R22.5, is a truck trailer tyre specifically designed for heavy-duty applications, with a highly durable construction and impressive whole-life usability.

The tyre has been developed to move goods safely and efficiently, engineered with wide shoulders and a scrub-resistant compound for enhanced abrasion resistance and a uniform wear pattern. The slow-wearing tread compound affords high mileages and an extended lifespan.

The EnduRace RT HD+ has a ‘K’ speed rating (up to 110 km/h), and is B-rated for wet performance to deal with more demanding weather conditions. Combined with an A-rating for road noise, it is an ideal choice for fleet operators managing high-demand applications.

Yves Pouliquen, Vice President, Commercial, Europe at Apollo Tyres, says: “We listened closely to operators and our distributor partners across Europe to develop new heavy-duty products that can stand apart in an intensely competitive segment. These tyres are designed not just to meet, but to exceed industry standards, ensuring operators can move goods efficiently and safely, whatever the conditions.”

Both tyres will be displayed at IAA in Hanover from 16 to 22 September in hall 12, stand E41.
