Train operator Chiltern Railways has warned customers to check before they travel next week due to strike action by the RMT.

On 16 and 18 March, a significantly reduced timetable will be in operation, and trains will start later and finish earlier than usual. On both dates, there will be no Chiltern Railways services north of Banbury. CrossCountry will be running services to and from Birmingham New Street to Leamington, Banbury and Oxford for connections into London.

On 18 March, Network Rail engineering works mean that the line between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury is closed. On this day, there will be no rail services between these stations, with an hourly rail replacement bus in operation.

Additionally, on 15 March, strike action taking place on the London Underground means that there will be no Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Aylesbury via Amersham. On this day, customers seeking to travel between London and Aylesbury can do so via High Wycombe.

There will be a later start to Chiltern Railways services on the 17 and 19 March, as well as some minor late-night alterations to a small number of services.

Chiltern Railways strongly advise customers to triple-check their journey before they travel on these dates and ensure they are aware of the last service of the day. Customers can visit the Chiltern Railways strike page (www.chilternrailways.co.uk/strike) for more information.
